Farmshire Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue in Waynesville, NC. Our mission is to rescue abused and abandoned farmed animals and to work to improve the system that made their rescue necessary in the first place through education, outreach, and activism.
The picturesque farm that the animals call home is situated in the Appalachian mountains with residents including pigs, chickens, llamas, a turkey, and a rabbit.
In addition to taking on life long sanctuary residents, Farmshire helps with transport and placement assistance to animals displaced through hurricanes, hoarding situations, factory farms, and cruelty cases.
We are committed to changing the system that made their rescue needed through education and outreach.
